The Higher National Diploma (HND) programme at the International Institute of Tourism and Hospitality (IITH), Yenagoa, is designed for graduates of National Diploma (ND) programmes who wish to advance their knowledge, skills, and professional competencies. Accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), our HND programmes prepare students for senior-level positions in their respective industries.

With a duration of two years (four semesters), the HND programme emphasizes advanced theoretical concepts, strategic thinking, research, and industry-specific applications. Graduates are equipped for leadership roles, specialized positions, and entrepreneurial ventures.

Entry Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects
  • Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings
  • English Language and Mathematics are compulsory
  • WAEC and NECO can be combined

ND Requirements

  • National Diploma (ND) from IITH Yenagoa or any recognized institution
  • Minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA 2.50) required
  • ND must be in a relevant discipline
  • ND academic transcripts may be required
Special Consideration for Pass Grade (CGPA 2.00 – 2.49):
  • Must have at least two (2) years post-ND cognate work experience
  • Applicable ONLY to graduates of IITH Yenagoa
  • Candidates with Pass grades from other institutions will NOT be admitted
Important Notes: All candidates must meet both academic and institutional requirements. Admission is strictly based on compliance with stated criteria and availability of space in the programme.
